Our
Research Commitment…
Tyho-Galileo’s
founders have recognized that despite the proven link between research and
progress in superior patient care, results and marketing, clinical pressures and
priorities make it difficult to set aside time for research.
This is true even for large ART programs.
Meaningful
research requires access to more case material than is typically available at
all but the very largest of ART programs. Beyond this, many centers lack the
expertise and/or enthusiasm for participation in clinical trials that is
essential to the success of a research program.
Tyho-Galileo
allows participating centers to share fixed and certain variable costs, thus
limiting the need for significant investment of time and resources in research
at the local level.
Scientific Research and Collaboration...
Tyho-Galileo
scientists will work in collaboration with clinical and other professional staff
at participating
Tyho-Galileo Centers to design
and conduct clinical trials and laboratory-based research investigations.
Procedures involving regulation and government review will be conducted with the
aid of
Tyho-Galileo scientists in accordance with federal as well as local
legislation and regulatory requirements, as appropriate. Preparation and
follow-up of the research will be conducted by local clinical and laboratory
staff who have received orientation
as to all aspects of each project. This will create an opportunity to
participate in authorship of articles, abstracts and papers for publication in
peer review journals as well as publications made available via
Tyho-Galileo’s global
website.
To
further assist participating centers,
Tyho-Galileo will organize conferences with comprehensive
round-table discussions and on-site workshops open only to staff affiliated with
participating
Tyho-Galileo
Centers.
This will provide access to the latest
Tyho-Galileo research, technical findings and hands-on training, and
with valuable question and answer periods and interactive discussions with
research scientists and key staff from other
Tyho-Galileo affiliates as
well.
To
ensure the achievement of the research goals referenced above, participating
Tyho-Galileo
Centers will also be asked to commit to the provision of case material
for embryology research, as well as to active participation in clinical trials
appropriate to the specific focus of the clinical practice at the center.
