Stay tuned for our recent paper on blastocyst vitrification. We have
over 50 pregnancies on 2 continents with this new procedure. The clinics using
the procedure are excited about the success and future possibilities of this
innovative vitrification method. Overall survival rates are around 90%
with clinical pregnancy rates over 60%.
On a Sad Note:
The scientific community
mourns the death on July 7th, 2007, of Professor Anne McLaren, an
internationally recognized scientist who made enormous contributions to the
fields of mammalian reproductive and developmental biology and genetics over the
course of her long and distinguished career. Professor McLaren died in a car
accident along with her former husband, Donald Michie. We offer our deepest
sympathies to their family and friends. A touching tribute to Professor McLaren
was written by one of her oldest friends and colleagues, Professor John Biggers,
